What If I Am Unsuitable?
We have trained many people since the CeMAP and CeFA
qualifications were first introduced in the late 1990s. The
vast majority of these people came to us with no understanding
of mortgages and very little understanding of finance in
general. Rather than this being a disadvantage, it almost
invariably proves to be a great advantage, since the
individual comes to us with a 'clean sheet' and no
preconceived ideas.
In addition to this, because the course is presented by a
highly skilled educator, the material is taught in layman's
terms and all jargon is explained as it is used. Although the
industry would have us believe differently, there is nothing
overly technical about mortgages and finance. It is all quite
logical when it is explained in simple terms. Our delegates
come from all generations, ranging from late teens to early
60s, yet all mix together without any difficulty or
discomfort. Our more mature delegates will often worry that,
because they've been out of school for so many years, they'll
struggle to absorb the material as quickly as the youngsters.
On the other hand, the youngsters often feel that they have
too little life experience to be able to mix comfortably with
our more senior colleagues.
Once more, because the courses are being driven by a very
experienced tutor, the different categories of delegate have
no difficulty absorbing the content because it is presented in
easy to understand, bite sized chunks.
However, if you would feel more comfortable with one-to-one
training or online (computer-based) training, just let us know
and we'll do our best to fit you in.
