One to One Classroom Training
Q1. Do you offer one-to-one training?
Yes we do, through our CeMAP Training Online (computer-based) system. We understand that, although our training groups are no larger than 10 delegates, not everyone is suited to
learning in a group. Clearly, with one-to-one or very small group coaching, we don't have the economies of scale that we would have with our usual group size of between 6 and 10 delegates. Take a look at our CEMAP
TRAINING OPTIONS. They can save you a lot of money and you could become qualified in a shorter time. |

Q2. Which exam should I take first?
There are several CeMAP training companies that recommend CeMAP 2 & 3 be taken before CeMAP 1. The reasons they give are various and creative, the most common being that, since they
consider CeMAP 1 to be the toughest of the three examinations, anyone who struggles with the CeMAP 1 exam would be less likely to quit if they had already achieved passes on CeMAP 2 & 3. While this is certainly true for some
people, this detail helps to mask the fact that those companies would prefer that nobody took the decision to quit until after they have paid for all the company's CeMAP courses.
What is our view? If taught correctly and skillfully, CeMAP 1 should be no more difficult than CeMAP 2 or CeMAP 3. If, after testing the water, anyone decides that the mortgage world is not for
them, we believe they should have the option to change their minds with minimum financial loss. Although we can accommodate anyone who wants to take CeMAP 2 & 3 first, we would recommend that CeMAP 1 be taken first. |

Q3. I am a complete beginner. Will the courses be beyond me?
Our CeMAP courses are designed for complete beginners. In fact, it is often the experienced person who finds the courses more challenging because s/he has to effectively forget what they know
to be true in the real world, while concentrating on what happens in CeMAP world.

Q4. I have a poor credit record. Will I be able to register with the FSA as a mortgage adviser?
Once you have completed your CeMAP training, you can either become directly authorised with the FSA or you can become a representative of a network that is authorised by the FSA. If you choose the
second option, as most newly qualified individuals do, you can choose to be either employed by the network, or to remain self-employed and associated with the network.
Although a poor credit record can make it more difficult to become directly authorised with the FSA, there would be no difficulty finding a network that would accept you with a poor credit rating.
In any event, we will help you to find the right placement when you have the full CeMAP qualification - that's part of our service and it is provided free of charge.

Q5. Where will the training courses be held?
This is determined by you and by the number of other delegates available to attend in your preferred region. We are happy to conduct courses for groups of between 6 and 10 delegates and we will
conduct training courses in most regions very regularly. If you would like to express your interest in a particular region's courses, just give us a call and we'll let you know what we have scheduled. |

Q6. Can you help with placement after I pass the exams?
Yes we can. Again, it's a free part of our service for those who want to take advantage of it. We would discuss your preferred route with you before you even register with us. By doing this, you
have a good idea of where you are heading as soon as your exams are passed. With many years experience in the financial sector, we can introduce you to top quality, trustworthy networks and give you full advice on how to find your
clients and complete your business. We also provide one-to-one training and / or online (computer-based) training. |
