1. Which exam should I take first?
There are several CeMAP training companies that recommend CeMAP 2 & 3 be taken before CeMAP 1. The reasons they give are various and creative, the most common being that, since they
consider CeMAP 1 to be the toughest of the three examinations, anyone who struggles with the CeMAP 1 exam would be less likely to quit if they had already achieved passes on CeMAP 2 & 3. While this is certainly true for some
people, this detail helps to mask the fact that those companies would prefer that nobody took the decision to quit until after they have paid for all the company's CeMAP courses.
What is our view? If taught correctly and skillfully, CeMAP 1 should be no more difficult than CeMAP 2 or CeMAP 3. If, after testing the water, anyone decides that the mortgage world is not for them, we believe they should have the
option to change their minds with minimum financial loss. Although we can accommodate anyone who wants to take CeMAP 2 & 3 first, we would recommend that CeMAP 1 be taken first.

2. How much would this cost?
Although most people recognise this to be a very valuable investment rather than an expense, there is inevitably the need for some pain before
we realise the gain.
The Institute of Financial Services charges £135 to register you for each of the three CeMAP modules and their fees entitle you to the following:
 | Registration for 12 months (during which time you must take the exam)
|
 | A comprehensive study manual
|
 | The cost of the module's examination |
Beyond this, we aim to keep your costs to an absolute minimum by conducting our intensive CeMAP training courses within purpose built meeting rooms at selected hotels located throughout the
UK. Clearly, if we can bring our CeMAP training courses to your doorstep, you can avoid any unnecessary travel and hotel accommodation costs.
Included in the cost of each of our courses is all of the following:
 | All course materials, including Course Notes & Mock Test manuals
|
 | Tea & coffee facilities on arrival and again during the regular breaks
|
 | Lunch |
There is currently no VAT to add to the cost of our CeMAP training courses and the total cost is as follows:
 | CeMAP 1 - £495 for 5 days intensive training
|
 | CeMAP 2 - £396 for 4 days intensive training
|
 | CeMAP 3 - £99 for 1 day intensive training |
While some CeMAP training companies will encourage you to pay for all their courses at once, we actively discourage this. We are confident that our customers will choose to use
us for the second course because they were entirely happy with the quality of our first course. Consequently, we recommend that our courses are paid for individually at the same time as registering for each CeMAP module with the
Institute of Financial Services. Why pay for three courses before you have satisfied yourself as to the quality of the first course? |

3. How long should this take?
A typical programme would be as follows:
Stage 1
As soon as you're ready to take the first step towards changing your life:
 | Register for our CeMAP 1 training course - Cost - £495
|
 | Register with the IFS for CeMAP 1 and book your CeMAP 1 exam - IFS Cost £135
|
 | Attend our 5-day CeMAP 1 training course
|
 | Pass the CeMAP 1 examination within 10 days after the course |
Stage 2
As soon as you've passed CeMAP 1:
 | Register for our combined CeMAP 2 & 3 training course - Cost £495
|
 | Register with the IFS for CeMAP Modules 2 & 3, booking your CeMAP 2 exam to take place within 7 days and booking your CeMAP 3 exam to take place within 14 days of our training course - IFS
Cost £270
|
 | Attend our 5-day combined CeMAP 2 & 3 training course
|
 | Pass the CeMAP 2 examination within 7 days
|
 | Pass the CeMAP 3 examination within 14 days |
Our training days run from 09:00 to 17:00, with the CeMAP 1 course being 5 consecutive days, Monday to Friday. Our CeMAP 2 course runs from Monday to Thursday and is immediately followed by the
CeMAP 3 course on the Friday of the same week. Doing CeMAP 2 & 3 in the same week is recommended because, although the CeMAP 2 and CeMAP 3 examinations test exactly the same knowledge, the question format for CeMAP 3 is entirely
different to that for CeMAP 2 and this requires a very different approach and is best covered while the knowledge is still fresh.

4. Why do you take 5 days when others can offer CeMAP training in 2 days?
Beware of false prophets! There are CeMAP training companies currently offering 2-day training courses and some of these quite correctly and clearly advertise these as revision courses.
Sadly, there are other companies that fail to make this clear.
To complement our CeMAP Training Online courses, we provide 3 days dedicated one-to-one training.
Having taught CeMAP since its inception in the late 90s, I can assure you that nobody can teach CeMAP in a shorter period than we allocate to our courses unless they are either cutting corners or
relying on the delegate to have completed a significant period of self study before attending the course.
Although it doesn't hurt to do some studying of the IFS material before attending our courses, it is not at all
necessary and we assume that no study has taken place before attending. Most of our delegates report the difficulty of trying to learn from the IFS manual alone. The quantity of content alone can be totally overpowering to all but
those who have previous experience at learning from such sources.
A significant proportion of our delegates had achieved exam passes with our courses before they had even received their manuals from the Institute of Financial Services.

5. How can this be done at such a low cost?
It's a fair question and I'm certainly not going to ask you to mind your own business! Quite
simply, because our overheads are covered by our other training division, we are able to keep our CeMAP training division very lean and efficient. Our reduced administration costs enable us to undercut our competitors without
compromising the quality of the service we provide. We are then able to pass on this reduction to our customers and do a higher volume of business as a consequence. Beware of the companies that would take your money and run!

Step 3 - Registration.
When you are happy to proceed, we will ask you to formally register by selecting and making payment for your first course.
Step 4 - Acknowledgement & Formal Invitation.
As soon as your payment has cleared, we will write to acknowledge receipt of your Course Fee and we will send you our formal course joining instructions.
